PAESTUM New Museum Santa Venera Sanctuary / Ex Cirio factory

Architectural competition

Paestum, Italy  2017.

The remaining of the Vth century B.C. Venera Sanctuary, together with part of the ex industrial Cirio building, are located in the archeological site where the Greek-Roman city of Paestum used to be.                        The competition assignment was to define an exhibition space that would relate to the traditional archeological remains of Paestum and to the industrial structure of the ex Cirio factory. The new complex should have been even a cultural lab for the development of city of Pompei contemporary cultural life.
