"Due colline"garden

Turin, Italy 2004-2005

The project was about restructuring a large space leaving vacant by railroad crossing between Largo Orbassano and Corso Turati. The project would have been the continuation of the Passante Ferroviario, where a pedestrian walkway, called the Spina Centrale, had been built where there was before the railroad. The new park would have extended between two hills and would have included a cultural center and parking lots in between. The works of several artists would have been place in the park, like it was previously done for the Spina Centrale. The project is still seeking the approval of the local government and it has undergone several variations (2004-2005 are the most recent).

The “Opera per Torino” by Per Kirkeby is the only artistic intervention already realized in the Largo di Orbassano gardens.
