Worlds of El Lissitzky

Novosibirsk, Siberia  2012

Open  international  competition for the architectural concept of the simbolic object of  city environnement  dedicated to El Lissitzky and the Russian Artistic Avan-Garde.

When we think of Siberia, we often imagine mystery, unknown climates and boundless lend. An immense territory which is 55 times bigger than our country. So, we have been struck by the idea that El Lissitzky traveled on foot more  than 1200 km, to study, see and understand. The least we could do to pay tribute to his achievement, was to partecipate to this competition. To discover Siberia, we have started researches about the river OB in whose heart may be comfortable all our rivers. This majestic river turns North with a such a tremendous  loop that it gives the impression of the sea. We also have discovered that on Sundey the habitants of Novosibirsk go to the beach...So we have been thinking of an object... An horizontal meeting place: a bench of 1200 meters in memory of 1200 km traveled by El Lissitzky.
